My name is Monika I. Jurkovic. I am a PhD student at the University of Belgrade, close to getting my degree, and I work as a research assistant at the Astronomical observatory of Belgrade (www.aob.rs). The main topic of my research are Type II Cepheids. The pulsational properties, and evolutionary status of these stars, and pulsating stars in general, interest me. Understanding the formation history of the Milky Way is another subject that I find myself being curious about.
